WITNESS is an international human rights organization co-founded in 1992 by musician Peter Gabriel and the Lawyer Committee for Human Rights. WITNESS places video cameras in the hands of local human rights defenders and trains them to use video technology as well as computers, imaging and editing software in the fight for basic human rights.
