This documentary revolves around the workers at the Uyuni Salt Flat in Bolivia.
The flat is a sea of salt that stretches for over 4000 square miles, 12,000 feet above sea level. The workers toil long backbreaking hours harvesting the salt.
Many of the men also live on the flat. With their heads covered to protect them from the harsh sunlight, they collect the salt with shovels, piling it into regular mountains in order to dry it. The salt is then transported with old trucks to the town of Colchani for packing.
All is sky, with no horizon in sight. It is like stepping on the infinite.
